The City of Rohnert Park is committed to water
conservation. We help our residents and businesses conserve water and
reduce the discharge of wastewater. In 2002, the City signed the
California Urban Water Conservation Council's Memorandum of
Understanding regarding Urban Water Conservation in California,
committing to implement 14 Best Management Practices. The City
currently offers the following Water Conservation Programs and
information.

During the week of May 9th through May 15th, run spray-type sprinklers for a total of 36 minutes. Run impact/rotor sprinklers for a total of 96 minutes. This information is based on current weather conditions in Rohnert Park.
Watering during pre-dawn hours is best because it reduces water loss due to evaporation and wind. To reduce run-off and encourage deeper roots, water in cycles of 5 - 7 minutes.

Urban Water Reuse
Water reuse is the use of reclaimed (or recycled) water from the Santa Rosa Sub-Regional Treatment System.
The City of Rohnert Park has been using recycled water to offset potable water supplies since 1988. An extensive system of pipes distributes recycled water to golf courses, parks, schools, and commercial properties.
