Medical Aid responses in the City of Rohnert Park are handled in a two pronged response plan. All Public Safety Department personnel are trained to First Responder Medical Aid level. Advanced Life Support and ambulance transport are provided by a private contractor. In the event of an emergency a Public Safety Department - Fire Division unit will be immediately dispatched and met by the Sonoma Life Support unit on the scene.

The mission of the Public Safety Department medical aid response is to provide immediate life support, trauma intervention and patient assessment to insure that the patient receives the best immediate emergency medical care for their situation.
