THE POSITION

The City of Rohnert Park is recruiting for the position of Part-Time Theatre Technician at the City's Performing Arts Center. This position requires: working a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends, possession of a valid Class C California driver's license, and the ability the lift 50 pounds.

Scenery construction, production load-in/load-out, production crew, lighting hang and operation, sound board operation, equipment maintenance and inventory, rental user assistance and supervision; other duties as required. Must have knowledge of or experience in technical theatre operations.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

• Music dance and theatre production
• Modern theatrical lighting and sound systems

1. Follow oral and written directions
2. Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
3. Organize projects and assignments
4. Perform duties as assigned with minimal supervision

• Theatre production experience or training necessary
• Possess a valid Class C California driver's license
