The City contracts with a private recycling company to
perform curbside recycling pickup from the residents and businesses of
the City, 5 days a week, excluding some holidays. View the garbage/yard waste schedule for your street.
You have three labeled recycling containers for Glass, Cans & Plastic, and Paper.
- Glass: Place glass food and beverage containers, including
wine, beer or liquor bottles. Put the caps and lids on glass containers
in the bin labeled "Cans and Plastic." DO NOT place window glass,
mirrors, light bulbs or dishware - these should be taken to a local
recycling center.
- Cans & Plastic: Place narrow neck plastic bottles
(used for soda, milk, detergent, shampoo, lotion, juice and cooking
oil); aluminum and tin cans; aluminum foil; metal food trays; and
rinsed and flattened milk, soy, soup and juice cartons. DO NOT place or
Styrofoam or plastic grocery bags - these should be taken to a local
recycling center.
- Paper: Place newspapers, office and computer paper,
catalogs, telephone books, brown paper bags, egg cartons, and flattened
cardboard (no bigger than 2 ft. x 2 ft.). Place magazines, all junk
mail and flattened cereal/cracker boxes in separate paper bags in or
next to the paper bin. Please don't throw paper in the trash. Recycle
it!
Please help us recycle more efficiently by following these guidelines:
- Recyclables must be in approved containers for recycled goods.
- Place recyclables at curbside by 6 a.m. on your collection
day, but not before 6 p.m. on the previous day. Remove containers by
sunset on your collection day.

appliances, bulk goods, yard waste and Christmas trees in with recycled
goods. They will not be taken. For more information about these
materials, contact the Public Works Department at (707) 588-3300.
- Jars, bottles and containers should be clean and free or lids or caps.
- All paper should be in brown paper bags or bundled and tied.
