Water reuse is the use of reclaimed (or recycled) water from the Santa Rosa Sub-Regional Treatment System.

The City of Rohnert Park has been using recycled water to offset potable water supplies since 1988. An extensive system of pipes distributes recycled water to golf courses, parks, schools, and commercial properties.

Dedicated Irrigation Water Budget Program

The City provides a Landscape Water Use Report to most dedicated irrigation meter sites each billing period. The Report compares actual water use to the assigned water budget that is specific to each site. The water budget is determined based on the irrigated square foot measurements of the site (turf and non-turf) and local weather conditions.

Large Landscape Water Use Surveys

The City is offering landscape water use surveys to commercial and mixed use customers that want to save water. The free outdoor water use assessment is conducted by a qualified independent contractor. Following this assessment, you will be provided with a specific, voluntary plan for the reduction of water use. This plan will focus especially on ways you can lower your water bill using methods that pay for themselves.

Large Landscape Equipment Rebate for Business Customers

Improve the efficiency of your existing irrigation systems by taking advantage of the City of Rohnert Park’s Landscape Equipment Rebate program. Receive up to 100% rebate on improvements to your irrigation system. Receive 50% of the total rebate at the time of project inspection by City staff; the remaining amount is paid after one year of demonstrated increase in water use efficiency. Commercial, Industrial, and Institutional Water Use Surveys

The CII Water-Use Survey targets commercial, industrial and institutional water customers to provide water use surveys and customer incentives. The water use surveys include a site visit, an evaluation of all water-using devices, and a customer report identifying recommended efficiency measures, the expected payback period and available incentives.
