Art in the Parks

The Rohnert Park Cultural Arts Commission has initiated our first Public Art Project, "Art in the Parks". The goal of this project is to enhance public spaces in our city, promote interaction between residents, business, government and culture as well as support the arts .

Art in the Parks consists of fifteen canvas banners, measuring 30” X 72”, and painted/decorated by local artists. The banners will be displayed on light poles at designated neighborhood parks.

All Sonoma County artists are welcome to submit a design. Those chosen will be paid an honorarium of two hundred fifty dollars and be included in event publicity. Learn more and download an application packet at www.artsasylum.org.

RPCAC is seeking individual, group and business sponsors for the banners. The success of this project rests on contributions from the community. Art in the Parks is funded entirely by sponsorship and donations. Get more information on donations and sponsorships at www.artsasylum.org.
