When your puppy or kitten receives his or her first year rabies shot ( 4 months ) bring the proof of rabies to the Finance Office at 6800 Hunter Drive, Suite B, to register your pet.

If you intend to have the animal spayed or neutered within 90 days of the first full year's shot, wait until you have completed the surgical procedure and bring both the neuter and rabies certificates to the above office for registration.

If you are waiting longer than 90 days to alter your pet, you will need to register the pet (with the rabies verification certificate) and pay the $20 fee. Upon future alteration, send a copy of proof of alteration to our office (mailing address: P.O. Box 1489, Rohnert Park, 94927-1489) and the fee of record will be adjusted for the following year.

Adult Animals

Pets must be registered as soon as they reside in Rohnert Park. Proof of Rabies and Spay or Neutering is required.

If you have just moved into Rohnert Park from another City in the County of Sonoma and have a fully paid license for the current year from that entity, we will register your pet without the fee for that year.

Only proof of spay or neutering is required for pot-bellied pigs.
