The City will be expanding the existing Public Safety Station One at 500 City Center Drive.  This Project is subject to the City’s Public Art Ordinance; so a public art installation will be incorporated in the expansion.  Staff has released a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to interested artists who would like to submit a proposal for the art installation.  Artist qualifications submittals are due to the City by October 3, 2008.  The City’s Cultural Arts Commission will evaluate the qualifications received and invite the three (3) highest rated artists to submit specific proposals for the Project.  The City Council will then select the preferred artist/proposal in early 2009.
