Emergency Code Plan Review
This information is a summary of The Department of Public Safety interpretations of
City, State and Federal Codes. Information contained herein applies to typical
instances and may not address all circumstances. All plans submitted for review by
the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety shall be accompanied by a completed
permit application and appropriate fees as outlined in the current fee schedule.
Resolution 99-130. Plans shall be submitted and approved by the Fire Department
prior to beginning the work.

Fire Safety Inspections
The purpose of the City's Fire Safety Inspection Program is to eliminate hazards that
contribute to the risk of fire or injury in Rohnert Park. The goals of the annual Fire
Safety Inspection Program are to:
Hazardous Materials
Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety maintains a Level Two Hazardous
Materials Response Team. This team, consisting of 12 members of the department,
have trained to Technician and Specialist levels and respond with a mobile command
vehicle completely equipped with a hazardous materials response trailer.
Medical Aid Response
Medical aid responses in the City of Rohnert Park are handled in a two pronged
response plan. All of Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety's personnel are
trained as a First Responder. Advanced life support and ambulance transport are
provided by a private contractor. In the event of an emergency, Rohnert Park
Department of Public Safety's Fire Division Unit will be immediately dispatched and
met by the Sonoma Life Support ambulance on scene.
Location of Fire Stations
Station One is located at Headquarters, 500 City Center Dr. This is an "on call"
station. This means that it is not staffed in a traditional around-the-clock
method. Personnel working in this building are assigned to other responsibilities
and staff a fire engine when needed.
Station Two is located at 5200 County Club Dr. near the intersection of
Golf Course Dr. This station is staffed in a traditional fashion, around-the-clock.
Station Four is located at 1312 Maurice Ave. This station is also staffed in a
traditional fashion, around-the-clock.
