The City of Rohnert Park is proud to announce its partnership with Symbium to establish a compliant automated permitting platform, following California Governor Gavin Newsom's approval of Senate Bill (SB) 379 on September 16, 2022, to streamline plan review and permitting processes for residential solar and energy storage systems.
The City of Rohnert Park offers automated permits for residential rooftop solar energy systems, including those with energy storage systems (ESS). Automated solar permits are only available for rooftop systems located on single-family homes and duplexes. Other types of solar projects must submit for an Electrical permit through the City's eTRAKiT system.
