BACKGROUND INFORMATION RE MEASURE D
On April 27, 2021 Council adopted Ordinance No. 954 to
prohibit the Sale and Use of Fireworks. A proponent submitted a
referendum petition protesting the Ordinance. The Ordinance was
suspended. Meaning, the sale and use of safe and sane fireworks in the
City would not be stopped. The Petition was examined and at the City
Council Meeting of May 25, 2021 the Council decided to call a Special
Election. Please click here to see the Clerk's Presentation.
