Surveillance video is one of the most effective tools for solving and deterring crime.
In an effort to better serve the community, the Investigations Unit of Rohnert Park Public Safety is compiling a list of locations within the city with surveillance video. Many Rohnert Park residents have security cameras in and around their homes and/or businesses. Increasingly, security cameras that face street and walkway areas have captured images that have proven critical in solving crimes.
We are compiling a list of locations and contact person who maintains a surveillance video. In an event a crime occurs, we can quickly look up based upon location who has video and who to contact.
If you would like to participate in this program, please take a moment to call the Investigation Unit at (707) 584-2630 with the following information if you maintain a surveillance video.
•Address and location of security cameras
•Contact person and phone numbers
•In the event that your video is on a loop, please provide us the amount of time you keep the video.
You can also email this information to be added to the list.
In the event of a crime in your area, investigators may contact you to see if information was captured on your camera.
