On Saturday, April 4, 2026, Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety personnel responded to a residential fire on Rancho Verde Circle. Public Safety Officers arrived quickly and immediately began fire suppression efforts, working with urgency to contain the fire and protect the home.
Rohnert Park’s Public Safety model places cross-trained police officers and firefighters on patrol throughout the city, allowing trained personnel to begin life-saving and fire suppression actions within moments of arrival. The hard work and quick actions of responding Public Safety Officers were critical in stopping the fire before it spread into the interior living spaces, helping limit damage to the exterior of the residence.
Additional responding crews, along with support from Rancho Adobe Fire Protection District and Sonoma County Fire District, worked together to fully extinguish the fire and ensure the scene was safe.
We are proud of the dedication and teamwork shown by our Public Safety Officers and grateful for the continued partnership of our regional fire agencies.
