Enhancements to Rohnert Park Expressway - University District Development: Brookfield Homes
Rohnert Park Expressway Construction
Paving between Snyder Lane to Petaluma Hill Road will begin this week. Follow traffic control signage and flaggers. Proceed with caution. Traffic is routed onto the #2 lane (slow lane) as work commences on the #1 lane (fast lane). Intersections from Snyder to Petaluma Hill Road are closed except at Kerry Road, where U-turns will be permitted. Detour signs are installed to help with guidance to specific streets.
To expedite construction, the City has modified the work hours to be from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm Monday through Friday. There will always be at least one eastbound lane open during construction. The westbound lanes will not be affected.
The new street lighting on Rohnert Park Expressway east of Kerry Road is being operationally tested. The lights will be working day and night for the next week as part of the test.
Jasmine Circle Residents:
Jasmine Circle left turn in and left turn out is closed at Rohnert Park Expressway. Jasmine Circle residents will enter and exit at Snyder Lane. Jasmine Circle right turn in and right turn out is open at Rohnert Park Expressway.
Oak View Apartment Residents:
If heading eastbound from Snyder Lane, residents will be unable to make a left hand turn into the complex. Residents can either enter on Medical Center Drive or continue eastbound on RPX and make a U turn at Kerry Road.
Sonoma State University / Green Music Center:
The intersection at RPX and Redwood Circle is being reconstructed. There is no left turn in or left turn out of the University. Detour signs are posted. Right turn in and right turn out at Rohnert Park Expressway is open.

Construction work on Keiser Road this Week
Keiser Avenue – East of Kerry Reconstruction
The City of Rohnert Park has contracted with Brookfield Homes to perform the Keiser Avenue Eastern Reconstruction Project. The project consists of installation of a new water main, recycled water main, storm drain and the reconstruction of Keiser Ave from Kerry Road to Petaluma Hill Road. The project will continue through October 2018. Work hours for this project area are between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM Monday through Friday and 9am to 5pm on Saturdays.
Keiser Ave will be closed to all traffic from east of the Community Gardens to Petaluma Hill Road during construction in this area. Local residents and patrons of the Community Garden can enter and exit their properties on Keiser Ave via Snyder Lane.
Keiser West of Kerry Road – Team Ghilotti is performing work for the City of Rohnert Park on Snyder Lane and Keiser Avenue. This project consists of installation of a new water main on Snyder Lane between Keiser Ave and Crane Creek (North side). Future work will include installation of a new water main and road paving on Keiser Ave from Snyder Lane to Kerry Rd. The project began the week of July 9, 2018 and will continue through to October, 2018. Work for this project area will take place during daytime working hours between 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM.
For this Week:
7/30 thru 8/1 - Water Main to be installed on Snyder Lane: activities include trenching, pipe install and heavy equipment, watch for flaggers.
8/1 thru 8/15 – Water Main to be installed on Keiser Road – activities include trenching, pipe install and heavy equipment, watch for flaggers.
Work for this project area will take place between 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM.
