Project:
The upcoming Keiser Avenue Reconstruction - Phase 2A Project, involving installation of sanitary sewer and storm drain piping, trench paving, and miscellaneous pavement, curb and gutter, sidewalk repair/replacement, and tree work, is expected at the following locations:
- Snyder Lane: traffic control with construction activities from the intersection with Keiser Avenue and extending southward approximately one-quarter of a mile (1,300 feet) to the southern side of the Hinebaugh Creek bridge. Work in Snyder Lane is expected to occur approximately starting June 3 and ending August 9, 2019, which includes setup and removal of traffic control devices.
- Keiser Avenue: remains closed to through-traffic between Petaluma Hill Road and Snyder Lane. Residents of and demonstrated patrons of the Community Garden on Keiser Avenue will maintain access to their homes and the garden during and throughout construction. Work in Keiser Avenue will occur for approximately the wester 450 feet from Snyder Lane and is expected to start approximately August 9 and end October 30, 2019.
- Hinebaugh Creek Trail: traffic control with construction at intersection with the western Snyder Lane sidewalk.
What to expect:
Keiser Avenue remains closed to all through-traffic between Petaluma Hill Road and Snyder Lane. At times, portions of Snyder Lane will have phased and temporary traffic lane reconfigurations and closures, reduced lane widths, shared motorized and bicycle vehicular lane use, and walkway detours. There will be noise and possibly dust during these operations. Temporary lane closures are necessary to protect both the new street surfaces and your car. No trenching will be left open and unattended after construction hours.
The Contractor and the City will give you as much notification as possible to allow you to plan accordingly for any anticipated delays, if required. Expect door-hanger reminders within approximately two (2) weeks of and again three (3) days prior to the start of construction.
When:
The Project is expected to begin June 2019 and extend through October 2019.
Work Hours:
Work hours will be from 8am to 6pm, Monday through Friday. Saturdays may be approved work days to keep on schedule. All driveways will be accessibe during non-work hours. However, Keiser Avenue will remain closed to through-traffic 24-hours a day throughout construction.
