Rohnert Park Road Improvements Update: May 20, 2019

Enhancements to Rohnert Park Expressway -  University District Development: Brookfield Homes

Keiser Avenue – East of Kerry Reconstruction

The City of Rohnert Park has contracted with Brookfield Homes to perform the Keiser Avenue Eastern Reconstruction Project. The project consists of installation of a new water main, recycled water main, storm drain and the reconstruction of Keiser Ave from Kerry Road to Petaluma Hill Road. Work hours for this project area are between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays.

Keiser Avenue will be closed to all traffic from east of the Community Gardens to Petaluma Hill Road during construction in this area.

Local residents and patrons of the Community Garden can enter and exit their properties on Keiser Avenue via Snyder Lane.

Construction activities are about to get underway at Keiser Avenue involving installation of sanitary sewer and storm drain piping, curb/gutter, and sidewalk repair/replacement, and tree work, at the following locations:

Snyder Lane: will have traffic control for construction activities from the intersection with Keiser Avenue and extending southward, approximately one-quarter of a mile, to the southern side of the Hinebaugh Creek bridge. Work in Snyder Lane is expected to begin in early June and end by mid-August 2019. Expect temporary traffic lane changes.

Keiser Avenue: will remain closed to through-traffic between Petaluma Hill Road and Snyder Lane. Keiser residents and patrons of the Community Garden on Keiser Avenue will have access to their homes and garden throughout construction. Work in Keiser Avenue (at approx. 450 feet from Snyder Lane) is expected to start by mid-August and end October 30, 2019. Keiser Avenue will remain closed to through-traffic 24-hours a day.

Hinebaugh Creek Trail: will have traffic control for construction at the intersection with the western Snyder Lane sidewalk. Construction notifications will be provided routinely to allow you to plan for delays. Work hours are 8am to 6pm, Monday - Friday. Work may occur on some Saturdays to keep on schedule. All driveways will be accessible during non-work hours.

Thank you for your patience. Please obey all traffic control measures, drive safely and cautiously through the construction zone.
