Rohnert Park Road Improvements Update for Week of September 20, 2021:

Keiser Avenue Improvements

Upcoming work (all schedules are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances)

Upcoming work scheduled for this week includes the start of excavation and construction of "bio-basins" (or bioswales). These are linear, vegetated, low-lying areas, troughs, or ditches that use plant materials and specialized soil mixes to absorb stormwater runoff. It's a natural way of conveying and filtering stormwater runoff to remove debris and pollution. One Keiser Avenue, the bioswales will be located along the south side of the roadway between the back of curb/gutter and the sidewalk.

Keiser Avenue only accessible to residents, community garden visitors

During this project, Keiser Avenue between Snyder Lane and Kerry Road will remain closed to through-traffic, and open to residents and community garden visitors only. Access for these motorists is from Snyder Lane only. Residents of the Redwood Apartments have access from Petaluma Hill Road and Kerry Road. Your access will periodically be impacted by the construction activity, so please allow time for the contractor to accommodate your vehicles when you are entering and exiting the area.

As this work continues, residents in the area should expect work crews, equipment, trucks entering and exiting the area, noise, and dust. For your safety, please be aware of construction activity and equipment, and observe all traffic signs and any flagger instructions.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to provide a smoother, safer roadway.
