Keiser Avenue Improvements

Upcoming work (all schedules are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances)

Work on the roadway itself is nearly finished. For the rest of the month and into January, crews will primarily be working on the landscaping and other "punch list" items.

Schedule Update

Although the roadwork is largely complete, there are several driver and pedestrian safety elements that must be installed before the City can approve the reopening of Keiser Avenue. These include streetlights and additional signage, which will be implemented after the landscaping work is finished. Therefore, for the safety of the public who will be using this road, the reopening of Keiser Avenue is now anticipated for early 2022. We will provide another update on timing of the reopening as soon as a more firm schedule is determined.

Keiser Avenue only accessible to residents, community garden visitors

During this project, Keiser Avenue between Snyder Lane and Kerry Road will remain closed to through-traffic, and open to residents and community garden visitors only. Access for these motorists is from Snyder Lane only. Residents of the Redwood Apartments have access from Petaluma Hill Road and Kerry Road. Your access will periodically be impacted by the construction activity, so please allow time for the contractor to accommodate your vehicles when you are entering and exiting the area.

As this work continues, residents in the area should expect work crews, equipment, trucks entering and exiting the area, noise, and dust. For your safety, please be aware of construction activity and equipment, and observe all traffic signs and any flagger instructions.
