*City Closure Update 3/13
Published on Mar 13, 2020 17:52

The City of Rohnert Park will suspend many of its public gatherings and close all recreation facilities. The decision follows an order from the Sonoma County Health Officer, out of an abundance of caution to slow the spread of the coronavirus. The order will be in place until it is rescinded by the Sonoma County Health Officer or State Health Officer. The suspended gatherings include the following:
  • All City of Rohnert Park Community Services recreation classes, activities, and programs
  • All private rentals in City facilities
  • Spreckels Performing Arts Center’s production of Galatea
The following City facilities will be CLOSED until further notice:
  • Rohnert Park Community Center
  • Rohnert Park Senior Center
  • Callinan Sports and Fitness Center
  • Honeybee Pool
  • Gold Ridge Recreation Building
  • Burton Ave Recreation Center
  • Ladbybug Recreation Building
The Rohnert Park Community Center front desk will be staffed in order to answer questions and take registrations/and facility rentals for future dates via telephone only by calling (707) 588-3456 during regular business hours, Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm.
For customers of recreation programs, events, and facility rentals, staff will be processing refunds next week as account credit for anyone registered in an activity that is cancelled due to this order. Credit will be applied to your account and those funds may be used for future recreation programs or rentals. If you have questions regarding your account credit or would prefer a refund, please call (707) 588-3456 during regular business hours, Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm.
Community members who feel sick and those in high-risk groups – consisting of those 60 years or older or with underlying health conditions – are encouraged to remain home and not attend large gatherings.
