The Wilfred/Dowdell Specific Plan proposes up to 302,114 square feet of commercial uses in an area located within the County of Sonoma and the Sphere of Influence and Urban Growth Boundary of the City of Rohnert Park. The property is specifically located on each side of Wilfred Avenue, east of Dowdell Avenue, and north, east, and south of the current City limits in the vicinity of the intersection of Redwood Drive and Wilfred Avenue.

Any written comments are required to be submitted to the Planning Division by 5:00 p.m. on March 28, 2008. In addition, a public hearing to receive comments on the Draft EIR has been scheduled for the Planning Commission meeting of March 13, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 6750 Commerce Boulevard, Rohnert Park, CA."

In May 2006, the State Water Resources Control Board published its General Waste Discharge Requirements (GWDR) for Sanitary Sewer Systems (Sanitary Sewer Order 2006-003).  The intent of the GWDR is to improve sewer collection system maintenance and performance, in order to minimize the number and impact of sanitary sewer overflows throughout the State.   One of the requirements of the GWDR is the development of a Sewer System Management Plan (SSMP).  

The SSMP will cover the management, planning, design, and operation and maintenance of the City’s sanitary sewer system.  The City has secured the services of engineering consulting firm, RMC Water and Environment, to develop its SSMP.   The development process began in September 2007 and it is expected to be complete by Mid-2008.

Adopted August 28, 2007 -- This Urban Water Management Plan (Plan) was prepared by the City of Rohnert Park (City) in accordance with California Water Code Division 6, Part 2.6, Sections 10610 through 10657 (the Urban Water Management Planning Act, hereinafter Act). The City provides municipal service to over 3,000 customers and meets the definition an urban water supplier as outlined in the Act.

The City of Rohnert Park is preparing Concept Plans for the Commerce Boulevard, Southwest Boulevard and State Farm Drive corridors.  These Concept Plans will be instrumental in revitalizing these corridors so that are visually appealing, encourage pedestrian use while accommodating vehicular traffic, and foster the redevelopment of underutilized properties.  The community is invited to participate in an immersion process that will help guide in the development of these Concept Plans.  Please click here for handouts with additional information on this process.
