The Community Round Table (CRT) serves as a bridge between the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety and the community by:

  • Enhancing communication and relationships between the department and residents.
  • Informing the Director of Public Safety about community concerns and perspectives.
  • Helping guide the focus of law enforcement services and programs to serve the needs of our diverse populations.
  • The CRT works to enhance Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) within Public Safety.

Community Round Table

Members contribute by:

  • Discussing solutions to police-related community issues.
  • Providing feedback on department programs and priorities.
  • Assisting in community outreach efforts.
  • Maintaining confidentiality on designated matters.
  • Participating in major police events (e.g., swearing-in ceremonies).
  • Attending the Citizens Police Academy to learn about department operations.
  • Not using meetings to promote personal agendas.

Understanding the importance of keeping our community informed, the following updates and access are provided:

  • A full report of the CRT findings will be presented to City Council (open to the public)
  • Questions about the CRT’s agenda (specific topics and/or program suggestions) can be directed to CHIEFSCHAT@rpcity.org
