Total Compensation Study

The City of Rohnert Park invites qualified human resource management firms and consultants to submit a written proposal for a Total Compensation Study.  The City is committed to providing competitive and equitable compensation for City employees. The last comprehensive compensation review was conducted in 2019. The City seeks to review current compensation to ensure alignment with the City’s compensation policy, ensuring equitable and competitive wages, and to enable continued retention and attraction of well qualified staff.  Study results will provide the necessary data for objective information for analysis by the City for compensation planning, future budget forecasting, and provide the data needed to facilitate fair discussions with employee groups regarding compensation and benefits for successor Memoranda of Agreement and Outlines of Certain Conditions of Employment, Fringe Benefits and Salary. The City agreed to conduct a compensation survey consistent with the City’s Compensation Philosophy to be initiated no later than November 1, 2024, and completed prior to commencement of negotiations with labor groups, anticipated to begin in February, 2025.

BIDS FOR MATERIALS

Autonomous Fire Watch Camera System Project No. 2023-04

The City of Rohnert Park is seeking to purchase an autonomous fire watch system. The City is a subrecipient of grant funding awarded to California’s Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (CalOES) from the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Hazard Mitigation Grant Program. The City's grant subaward will be used to implement an Autonomous Fire Watch System. The system includes procurement and installation of three infrared fire detection cameras driven by fire-sensing artificial intelligence technology which will stream real-time data directly to the City of Rohnert Park’s Public Safety Complex, including the City’s Emergency Operations Center. This mitigation action will increase the speed of response time from City’s fire fighting and emergency assets. This Request for Material Pricing is for the purchase of an autonomous fire watch camera system. The City will prepare construction bid documents for installation of the cameras at a later date.
