COVID Mitigation Policies


Spreckels is committed to the safety of its patrons, artists and staff. We appreciate your understanding that as national and local policies change, the Spreckels policy will reflect changes as well. Here is the Spreckels COVID mitigation policy as of 4/11/2022. The policy applies to Spreckels productions. For the policies of visiting dance companies, please refer to their individual websites. 

Please read carefully, as there have been changes.

General Protocols

·         * Spreckels is a fully vaccinated company, including staff, artists, and volunteers.  

·         * All lobby and restroom surfaces are disinfected before each performance and before intermission.

·         * Dressing room surfaces are disinfected before every dress rehearsal and performance.

·         * Hand sanitizing stations are available throughout the lobby and dressing rooms.

·         * Disposable masks are available for those who need them.

Performance Protocols-Performers

·         * In accordance with State of California and County of Sonoma guidelines, performers in plays produced by Spreckels Theater Company will be unmasked. They are all fully vaccinated. Dance companies may choose to mask their performers or not, as they wish.

·         * A distance of at least 6’ between the audience and performers will be maintained.

In        * In the Studio Theater, the front row of seats will be blocked out to ensure distancing between actors and audience. Otherwise, all seats will be made available in both theaters.

Performance Protocols-Audience

  • As per State of California Health Department guidelines, all unvaccinated people must be masked while in the building. Vaccinated people may be unmasked. 
    Due to these new guidelines, patrons will no longer be required to show proof of vaccination status before entering the building. 
    The State of California Health Department continues to strongly recommend that all audiences continue to wear masks while in the building.
