ROHNERT PARK UPDATED MONTHLY UTILITY BILLING:

The City of Rohnert Park has recently implemented changes to its utility billing process. We have transitioned to a monthly billing process and are converting to a new utility billing software. Our customers are our top priority, and we thank you for your patience as we finalize our new and improved platform. 

Why is my utility bill higher than usual?

Your utility billing rates have not increased. As part of the transition to our new monthly billing process and software system, the first two bills (June and July) included more days than the 28–31 day billing cycle. The June billing period contained 45 days and the July period contained 33 days. This resulted in higher overall charges for June and July utility bills. Starting with August billing and moving forward utility billing will reflect a normal 28–31-day billing cycle.

The AutoPay feature for credit and debit cards is now working. Please visit Citizens Self Service to set up autopayments. We appreciate your patience!

Why does it take so many clicks to get to the payment area?

As we transition to our new platform, we welcome your feedback. We continue to work closely with our software provider to create a more user-friendly Payment Portal. We hope to make this process easier for our customers soon.

NEW BILLING SCHEDULE:

  • The final bi-monthly bill was mailed to residents in June 2023, covering water and sewer usage in April and May. The first monthly water/sewer bill was mailed to residents in July 2023, covering usage in the month of June.
  • Monthly bills will be due on the 5th of each month (or next business day if the 5th falls on a weekend or holiday).
  • Automatic payments by bank account (ACH/EFT) or credit card will be charged on the regular, monthly due date

NEW ONLINE CUSTOMER PAYMENT PORTAL:

  • The City has moved to a new online payment portal. The new portal is available here.
  • Customers will need to register on our new online customer portal in order to receive email bills, view their account online, pay online or set up automatic payments by credit card.
  • Starting in July 2023, your utility bill will have a new account number and customer ID number. These new numbers will be necessary for making payments on the new online portal.
