VANESSA GARRETT
Director of Public Works
Vanessa Garrett joined the City of Rohnert Park in November 2015. She previously worked in the private sector where she focused on large-scale engineering and construction projects.
Vanessa began her public sector career in the Development Services Department, focusing on land use engineering, deed and site improvement, permitting and records management, and Capital Improvement Project (CIP) implementation before transitioning to the Public Works Department. Throughout her time with the City, she has previously served in the roles of Senior Engineering Technician, Civil Engineer, Deputy City Engineer.
Vanessa's extensive public project experience is supported by a California Professional Civil Engineering License, a Masters in Public Administration, and an undergraduate degree in civil engineering.
She strives to lead by example through problem-solving and positive communication with the community.
