The Community Services Department offers a wide variety of recreational classes for youth and preschoolers.

Due to temporary facility closures and county health orders to protect the safety of our community we are offering only a limited number of youth programs. More classes will be coming soon.

All in person programs will be held in compliance with the current county and state health orders. Each course is required to have and follow an approved Social Distancing and Safety protocol. For questions regarding a specific program please give us a call at (707) 588-3456

Miss Betty's Tot TimePreschool

 We offer a number of programs for preschool age children including gymnastics, soccer, and   ballet. In addition we also have a preschool program called Tot Time. Tot Time with Miss Betty   has been offered at the Community Center since 1979 and is now seeing 2nd generation students gain a head start on kindergarten through this wonderful program. This preschool based program helps toddlers gain social skills and increased self-confidence by learning and playing together in a stimulating classroom environment. Early childhood learning concepts are introduced in fun fashion through music, math games, art, stories, drama, and cooking. As an on-going class, priority registration is given to returning participants and remaining spots are enrolled on a first come, first served basis. Instructor: Bettyjane Hotaling.

Youth

Our youth programs are designed for school age children aged 5-12 a variety of classes in dance, martial arts, sports and more. In addition to our recreation classes during the summer and on certain school breaks we offer day camp programs filled with loads of activities, craft projects, field trips, special events and more

Soccer Stars

ESTRELLAS DE FÚTBOL
Coach Riccardo’s goal is to teach the beautiful game of soccer to your child through carefully planned drills, and practice. In a fun and lively format, he will impart his knowledge about the sport to encourage improvement. Your child will be engaged and enjoy playing soccer in a supportive team atmosphere. All levels are welcome. Join Coach Riccardo for afternoons of soccer delight and watch them as they become soccer stars.

To comply with the current county health orders and to reduce the spread of COVID-19 several precautions will be in place. Participants will need to perform a self screening before they arrive for symptoms of COVID-19. Parents are not to congregate at or around the field during practice. All participants will utilize their own equipment, provided and disinfected by instructor, and will remain at least 6 feet apart during class. There will be no scrimmages or close contact between participants.

Kinder Kickz Soccer

KINDER KICKZ SOCCER

Kinder Kickz Soccer uses non-competitive, activity based play to teach the game of soccer while promoting the development of motor skills such as balance & coordination and social skills like listening & teamwork. Along the way, participants will learn basic soccer skills including kicking, dribbling and passing. A one-time $40 membership fee, payable to Kinder Kickz Soccer on the first day for all new players. Membership Fee includes uniform top.

To comply with the current county health orders and to reduce the spread of COVID-19 several precautions will be in place. Participants will have temperature checked upon arrival by instructor. Parents are not to congregate at or around the field during practice. Only one parent/guardian at class per child. All participants will utilize their own equipment, provided and disinfected by instructor, and will remain at least 6 feet apart during class. Please do not bring any personal soccer equipment to class. Participants are not required to wear a mask when taking place in physical activity, but should have a mask on hand for when social distancing cannot occur.

Spec Tennis

Spec Tennis is played on a smaller court with a slower ball and a low powered paddle. Rallies are longer and success rates are higher than with tennis, making it more fun from the start. Every skill learned in Spec Tennis is directly transferable to tennis. Classes are taught by the founder/instructor of the sport/class, Nate Gross. 

All equipment will be provided by instructor. Please DO NOT bring any personal sports equipment with you. Water bottle and comfortable shoes recommended. Don't forget your mask! This class has a set of guidelines following the current state & county health order. A document of the guidelines can be requested by calling the Rohnert Park Community Center at 707-588-3456.
