The Development Services online services portal allows the public to request inspections, apply for permits, obtain application status and pay fees online. You can also check plan review comments and review inspection notes and comments. The following building permit types are available to choose from when applying online: Residential Solar Auto Issue (for Solar projects eligible for automatic issuance under SB379), Water Heater Replacement, Signs, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and there is a General Permit Application type that should be used for any permit that does not fit in those categories.
Home owners can use the link on our online permitting portal to create a new account. Contractors and design professionals who do not already have an account can complete this Application for Online Permitting Account form and submit it to [email protected] and staff will establish their account. Once you have been assigned a username and password you may start applying for the available online permits by visiting Online Services Web Portal.
